Under the leadership of the Migration and Diaspora Foundation and the International Women's Union in Support of Jerusalem and Palestine, and with the participation of Turkish and Arab civil society organizations, the "For You" campaign was launched to support the women of Gaza.
Numerous NGO representatives attended the press conference held at the Neslişah Culture Center in Fatih. The campaign, supported by women's organizations in more than 50 countries, will continue for 10 days and will end on August 14, 2025.
Global Solidarity for Gaza
As part of the campaign, which will be carried out under the hashtag "For You," a candlelight march will be held in Istanbul in memory of the martyred Palestinian women, along with peaceful protests led by women in world capitals, photography exhibitions, and interactive activities for children. In addition, 2,000 emergency baby bags containing formula and diapers will be delivered to Gaza.
"This Is Not a Campaign, but a Vigil of Conscience"
Journalist Cahide Hayrunnisa Çiçek, who delivered the joint press statement on behalf of the NGOs, said the following:
"From the heart of Istanbul, we are launching not merely a campaign, but a cry, a resistance, and a call of conscience. In Gaza, women and children bear the heaviest burden of the catastrophe. A mother's arms are empty, a baby has no formula, a woman's dream lies buried in the earth. This is a promise given to a region that has been ignored."
Solidarity from Women to Women
Rabab Awad, President of the International Women's Union in Support of Jerusalem and Palestine, emphasized that women live under the daily threat of hunger and bombardment, and called on the international community to take concrete steps.
The Migration and Diaspora Foundation's Head of Women's Communications, Ayşe Müzeyyen Taşçı, stated that the campaign is not merely an aid effort but a reckoning of humanity, and invited all women to raise their voices for Gaza.
