About Us

The Migration and Diaspora Foundation is one of the active organizations in Türkiye, thanks to the long-standing experience of its founding and executive team in political, academic, and civil society work in this field. Our foundation conducts migration and diaspora research both in Türkiye and on the international stage, and carries out diplomacy activities aimed at improving coordination between diaspora structures and civil society or state institutions.

Our foundation produces knowledge and civil diplomacy activities that aim to contribute to the development of Türkiye's migration policy and that support a visionary understanding of the migration issue in Türkiye. In addition, we value the diplomatic potential of diaspora institutions both in Türkiye and abroad, and we carry out work that aims to put this potential to use for the benefit of our country.

We attach importance to developing relationships with organizations engaged in diaspora activity formed by migrants in Türkiye, and to improving these organizations' relationship networks in Türkiye. We believe that, through this work, the presence of migrants in Türkiye will reach a healthier footing and will create an effect that accelerates migrants' harmonization and integration. With the belief that the healthiest solution is for migrants to convey the problems they experience in Türkiye directly, firsthand, to the authorities through their own institutions, we carry out activities that will help these organizations become acquainted with institutions in Türkiye and develop healthy relationships.
