Our foundation and the Association for the Advancement of African Women have launched the "Give Voice to Sudan" campaign in order to draw attention to the humanitarian crisis caused by the ongoing civil war in Sudan. The press statement regarding the launch of the campaign was delivered on behalf of our foundation by the Migration and Diaspora Foundation's Head of Women's Communications, Müzeyyen Taşçı. The statement emphasized that in Sudan, the site of the world's largest humanitarian crisis, 25 million people are suffering from hunger, while millions are struggling to survive as refugees. It was stated that the number of civilians displaced by the conflict in the country is steadily increasing, that access to health services has been largely restricted, and that women and children in particular are living under severe humanitarian conditions. The campaign is being carried out in order to make this tragedy visible, to raise public awareness, and to strengthen national and international solidarity. As the Migration and Diaspora Foundation, we invite all institutions and individuals to take a shared stand of conscience so that this great humanitarian catastrophe experienced by the people of Sudan may come to an end.
