Our board members came together with Mr. Mustafa Barghouti, one of the leading names of the Palestinian diaspora and a former presidential candidate, and held important consultations on the Palestinian diaspora. In the meeting, the influence of Palestinian communities worldwide, the strengthening of civil diplomacy activities, and the steps that could be taken in defense of the rights of the Palestinian people were addressed. Mr. Barghouti emphasized that the potential of the Palestinian diaspora needs to be evaluated properly and touched on the importance of making a greater impact in the international arena. In the light of the information gained from this meeting, our board obtained valuable ideas about the future of the Palestinian diaspora and the work that needs to be done for it to assume a more effective role on a global scale.
