Barış Toprak ŞAHİN

Born and raised in Gaza, Barış Şahin completed his high school education in Gaza and then came to Türkiye to finish his studies. He completed his undergraduate education in the Department of International Relations at Sakarya University. During his university years, he was a member of many clubs, the representative of the association of Palestinian students in Sakarya, and held various positions in many civil society organizations. He worked for two years as general manager at the Saudi Arabia–based company Rawafed Group. He worked for one year as a researcher at the Muhkamat Research Center. He worked for one year as the Middle East regional export officer at the Lebanon-based company Glassinum. He served for two years as Head of Foreign Relations of the Palestinian Students' Association. Currently serving as Head of Diplomacy Management at the Migration and Diaspora Foundation, Barış Şahin has a good command of Arabic and an intermediate level of English. He is married and a father of one.
