An International Migrants Day Program from the Migration and Diaspora Foundation: We Are Meeting in Ankara with a Workshop and a Summit

To rethink the global effects of migration, the social and diplomatic power of the diaspora, and the changing dynamics of the world, we are meeting in Ankara on December 18, 2025. As the Migration and Diaspora Foundation, with the comprehensive program we are holding on the occasion of International Migrants Day, we offer a strong platform where current approaches in the field of migration will be discussed.

Morning Session: "Workshop on New Approaches in Migration and Integration Policies"

The "Workshop on New Approaches in Migration and Integration Policies," to be held in the first part of the day, will bring together experts, academics, and representatives of public institutions working in the field of migration. At the workshop, current policy processes will be evaluated, and joint work will be carried out on new models and approaches in the field of integration.

Afternoon Summit: Migration, Diaspora, and Diplomacy Are Being Rethought

The "Migration, Diaspora, and Diplomacy Summit," which will be opened on the basis of the workshop's outcomes, will bring together experts and researchers from different disciplines to address the social, cultural, and diplomatic dimensions of global mobility.

The summit will continue with a panel titled "The Influence of Diasporas on Policymakers," to be held with the participation of competent figures in the field. At the panel, the diplomatic consequences of international migration will be discussed from a multifaceted perspective.

New Contributions to Türkiye's Migration and Diaspora Policy

This comprehensive program, prepared by the Migration and Diaspora Foundation, aims to contribute to the development of new policy proposals by strengthening the interaction among academic circles, public institutions, and civil society organizations working in the field.

The meeting to be held on December 18 will bring together all the stakeholders who shape Türkiye's migration and diaspora policies, creating an important basis for negotiation and cooperation.
