The Migration, Diaspora, and Diplomacy Summit, organized by the Migration and Diaspora Foundation as part of International Migrants Day, will be held in Ankara on December 18, 2025. At the summit, where the global effects of migration, the social and diplomatic power of the diaspora, and the changing dynamics of the world will be addressed, journalist-author İhsan Aktaş will also be among the speakers.

The full-day program will begin in the morning with the "Workshop on New Approaches in Migration and Integration Policies." At the workshop, experts, academics, and representatives of public institutions working in the field of migration will come together to evaluate current policy processes and carry out joint work on new models and approaches regarding integration policies.

The Migration, Diaspora, and Diplomacy Summit, to be held in the afternoon, will be opened on the basis of the workshop's outcomes and will address the social, cultural, and diplomatic dimensions of global mobility from a multidisciplinary perspective. At the panel titled "The Influence of Diasporas on Policymakers," to be held as part of the summit, the diplomatic and social repercussions of international migration will be discussed from different angles.

With the participation of İhsan Aktaş, the summit is expected to be the scene of important assessments on the role of media, public opinion, and diasporas in policymaking processes. The event aims to strengthen the interaction among academic circles, public institutions, and civil society organizations and to make new contributions to Türkiye's migration and diaspora policies.
