The Board of the Migration and Diaspora Foundation met with İbrahim Aydın, Executive Director of the Center for Middle Eastern Studies (ORSAM), one of Türkiye's leading think tanks, and his delegation. Since 2009, ORSAM has been recognized as a research center that produces knowledge and conducts in-depth analyses of political, economic and social issues in the Middle East and North Africa region.
This visit, carried out by our foundation's board, was held in order to exchange information about current developments in the region and to evaluate possible cooperation opportunities. During the meeting, current issues concerning migration and diaspora matters, both in Türkiye and on a global scale, were discussed. Views were exchanged on projects and areas of strategic cooperation that could be carried out between ORSAM and the Migration and Diaspora Foundation in line with shared goals.
Representatives of the Migration and Diaspora Foundation detailed the foundation's work toward resolving the difficulties experienced by migrants and the policies it follows to strengthen cooperation among diasporas. ORSAM Executive Director İbrahim Aydın, in turn, provided information about ORSAM's work on migration and diaspora dynamics in the Middle East and North Africa region.
This visit was regarded as an important step toward laying the foundations of a long-term cooperation potential between the two institutions and developing joint solutions to global problems. The Migration and Diaspora Foundation and ORSAM aim to contribute to social development, harmony and integration processes in the region by exchanging knowledge and experience.
