The "Migration, Diaspora, and Diplomacy Summit," organized by the Migration and Diaspora Foundation in Ankara as part of International Migrants Day on December 18, 2025, was successfully held as a comprehensive platform addressing the areas where the phenomenon of migration intersects with the diaspora, public diplomacy, and policymaking processes.
Ali Nasser Bnian, President of the Iraqi National Security Advisory Office and the Nahrein Center for Strategic Studies; Deputy Minister of Family and Social Services Leman Yenigün; and Deputy Minister of the Interior Bülent Turan took part in the summit.
At the panel titled "The Influence of Diasporas on Policymakers," held as part of the program, the influence of diaspora communities on decision-making mechanisms, political representation, the shaping of public opinion, and international relations were assessed in a multidimensional manner.
