The Migration, Diaspora, and Diplomacy Summit Will Be Held in Ankara
The Migration and Diaspora Foundation is organizing the Migration, Diaspora, and Diplomacy Summit in Ankara in order to address, on a multi-stakeholder platform, the academic, strategic, and civil diplomacy work it carries out at the national and international levels in the fields of migration and diaspora.
The Migration and Diaspora Foundation—one of the pioneering organizations in migration and diaspora work in Türkiye, thanks to the many years of experience of its founding and executive staff in the political, academic, and civil society fields—carries out visionary knowledge production that contributes to the development of migration policies, programs aimed at assessing the potential of diaspora communities, and projects intended to increase the capacity for cooperation among public institutions, diaspora structures, and civil society organizations. Through the contacts it maintains at home and abroad, the foundation also contributes to cultural diplomacy and civil diplomacy activities.
The summit organized in this context also serves as the closing program of the International Relations and Diplomacy Academy, which has been running for a year. The academy program was successfully completed with the participation of 265 students from different disciplines. The summit aims to share the outcomes of this process with the public and decision-makers.
